In an online-only event OnePlus launched its much-hyped affordable TV series in the country. The company launched two new TV series in the country including U and Y. The U series includes one 55-inch smart TV while the Y series incorporates two models including 32-inch and 43-inch. The price of OnePlus TV U and Y series starts at Rs 12,999.

The OnePlus TV U Series comprises three variants – a 55-inch 4K model, a 43-inch Full HD model, and a 32-inch HD-ready model, which is primarily in the same category as other smartphone brands pitting in the smart TV category. All of these TV run on Android TV Pie software with OnePlus’ custom content recommendation interface called OxygenPlay.

The Y series has two TVs – a 32-inch HD ready TV and a 43-inch FHD TV priced at Rs 12,999 and Rs 22,999 respectively.
The U series has just one TV as of now – U1 priced at Rs 49,999. This is a 55-inch TV and brings with it a resolution of 4K with support for HDR and Dolby Vision along with Dolby Atmos support.
All three TVs in the two ranges run on Android TV 9 Pie with access to Google Assistant, Google Chromecast, and the Google Play store to download apps and games. Users can also use the Oxygen Play interface for a content-centric view. The Y series has a rated sound output of 20W with Dolby Audio tuning.
