How To Unlock Bootloader Xiaomi Redmi Y2

Xiaomi is known for delivering robust hardware and the Redmi Y2 is no exception. Redmi Y2 has a reliable Snapdragon 625 processor. The clock speed of this octa-core processor is 2 GHz. The smartphone has two variants – 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. The smartphone has a separate slot for microSD card. Users will be able to use cards up to 256 GB.

The 5.99-inch display is of HD Plus resolution and the aspect ratio is 18: 9. There is a slight upgrade in this department compared to the Redmi Y1. The viewing angles of the display are good. Neutral color output is available, you will get the facility to tweak it to your liking. The display is a bit reflective and there is some difficulty in reading it outdoors. Requirements 

1) Xiaomi Redmi Y2 with  latest official MIUI ROM

2) USB cable

3) USB Drivers 

Procedure :- 

1) Head to Miui Unlock section from official website .

Login with your mi account or phone number with your associated mi account.

2) Once you logged in Click on Unlock Now Button Or Download MiuiUnlock App

3) On your Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus, enable developer options by going to Settings > About Phone and then tap on MIUI version continously until You’re now a developer popup appears.

4) From the main Settings menu, now tap on Additional Settings Developer Options. Browse down till you see Mi Unlock Status and then sign-in with the same account you used to download Unlock tool in Step 2.

5) Within Developer Options, also enable OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging.

6) Turn off your device, press the Power button and Volume – button at the same time to enter bootloader mode.

7) Log into the unlocking tool on PC with the same Mi account. Connect the device to the PC using USB cable

8) Press ‘Unlock’ and follow the timer/ waiting period shown in Mi Unlock Tool to unlock successfully.

Note : Use another PC (64-bit) to unlock if MI Unlock Tool fails to detect your device/ unknown error.
